Frequently asked questions
Is contingency the same as profit margin?
No. Contingency is an extra buffer on estimated costs. A profit margin is profit as a share of selling price.
Where should revisions go?
Include expected revision time in estimated hours. Use contingency for uncertainty and state how extra revisions will be charged.
